Overview
Heavy wall heat shrink tubing is the highest-performance variant in the heat shrink tubing family. Its thick cross-linked polyolefin outer wall provides significantly greater mechanical strength than thin or medium wall grades — resisting impact, abrasion, crushing and UV without cracking. The inner adhesive layer flows under heat to bond to cable surfaces, creating a hermetic seal. With a voltage rating up to 35kV and a 4:1 shrink ratio, VIKCHEM's heavy wall tubing is the preferred choice for bus bar insulation in switchgear, cable end capping on MV cables, and high current termination insulation in transformer yards and outdoor substations.
