Heat Shrink Medium Wall Tubing

Overview

Medium wall heat shrink tubing combines a thick cross-linked polyolefin outer wall with an inner layer of thermoplastic hot-melt adhesive. When heated, the tube shrinks to one-third of its original diameter while the adhesive melts and flows to fill all voids, cable irregularities and surface features — creating a fully bonded, hermetically sealed assembly. Unlike standard thin-wall insulating tubing, the adhesive liner provides a positive mechanical and moisture barrier that remains effective even when immersed.
