LV Cable Jointing Kit — Overview
Low voltage underground cable joints are one of the most failure-prone points in LV distribution networks. Traditional tape-and-resin joints degrade in wet soil, allow moisture ingress and develop high-resistance connections that cause overheating and eventual cable failure. VIKCHEM's LV heat shrink jointing kits eliminate these problems by providing a professionally engineered jointing system that restores the cable insulation, armour continuity and moisture barrier in a single, matched assembly.
The kit uses adhesive-lined heat shrink tubes that bond directly to the cable jacket when heated, creating a hermetic seal that keeps moisture out even when the joint is immersed in a flooded cable pit. The overall outer sleeve provides mechanical protection and a clean, identifiable joint for future maintenance. Available for single-core, 3-core, 3.5-core, 4-core and 5-core cables in aluminium and copper conductors.

XLPE Armoured (SWA/AWA)
Steel/aluminium wire armoured — standard for direct burial and duct underground LV runs.

Armour Clamps / Clips
For armoured cables — clamps reconnect armour across the joint for mechanical and earthing continuity.
Waterproof Gel / Mastic
Optional filling compound or mastic tape for joints in wet, underground or flood-prone locations.
Connector / Ferrule
Conductor ferrules or mechanical connectors for joining cable conductors (sold separately or in kit).
Earth Braid & Cable Ties
