Polymeric Composite Silicone Insulator upto 220kV

Composite insulators were introduced when time demand to require a better technology then ceramic or glass insulator. VPTPL start manufacturing Composite Silicone Polymeric Insulator with different combination of high quality silicone materials and it end fitting made of metal, such as forged steel or SG Iron casting.

We are using ECR glass fiber reinforced resin rod which forms the core of the insulator is responsible for bearing the mechanical loads and ECR is providing Environment protection. The insulator type is depending on its requirement like tension, suspension or bending. Polymeric insulator are two type Disc and Line Post Insulator which divide in further various categories. Polymeric Surge Arrester upto 36kV

The polymeric surge Arresters for distribution/Station system has been developed by using silicone rubber. The new type of silicon rubber was examined by the accelerated weathering tests and applied to the shed material of the polymeric surge Arrester, The test confirmed that the silicone rubber had an excellent weather resistance and high water repellence during the long term weathering tests, the polymeric surge Arrester with the new type of silicone rubber showed a high performance at the pressure relief tests according IEC60099-4(1991).
